About the Niixo Research Team
We deliver the "sourcing research" for Japan→US eBay export. As builders who've matched items by hand ourselves, we'll say plainly what we check and what we don't.
Who we are
Niixo is the project of a solo maker who has built a number of apps and tools. One of them is this work: the sourcing research for selling used Japanese goods on overseas marketplaces (US eBay first). Not armchair commentary — we've run the work of matching Sold history against domestic stock, one item at a time, ourselves. That's why we know both the parts that work and the parts that are quietly hard.
Why we do this
The first walls you hit in export resale are usually these two.
- "It sells, but you can't source it in Japan": demand exists, yet with zero units of the same item in stock, no deal happens.
- "The margin melts into fees and shipping": the face-value gap looks big, but after final value fees, payment/FX, and international shipping it often shrinks to a few thousand yen.
Clearing these walls only comes from checking, one item at a time. The hit rate is a fraction of what you dig through. A "checked single item" is exactly what has value — so we build the verification steps one by one. The thinking behind it is in field notes; the practical how-to is in the guides.
What we check, and what we don't
When we say "verified," these are the three things we check.
- Same item: that it's the same thing selling abroad — matched by hand down to variant, edition, and inclusions.
- Black on take-home: not face value, but what's left after fees, shipping, and FX (→ profit-math how-to).
- Demand is real: not "should sell," but the record of it actually selling.
What we can't check: that it will sell at the same price in the future, that it will definitely clear a profit in your hands, that it will sell overnight. Markets move. So we show profit as a conservative range, and we don't say "guaranteed" or "anyone can." What we checked is a past fact, not a promise about the future — a line we keep firm (→ what a "verified lead" is).
The promises we keep
- No inflation — measured numbers only: profit as a conservative, evidence-backed range; no faked activity or popularity.
- Quiet, and to a few: no flashy public-auction machinery. We deliver to the one pro who needs it most, never duplicated.
- Full refund if you can't buy it: if the item isn't buyable at hand-off, our tooling determines stock state and refunds.
Hiding the source is how we protect you
We show the proof of demand (that it sells), but we don't publish the specific source URL, photos, or item name. They go only to the seller who receives the lead. This line stops it being snatched and protects the buyer's margin. "The value is provable, but the stock can't be identified" — we keep that asymmetry as the core of the business.
We're still preparing
Trading hasn't started. We'll begin carefully, with a single corridor — JP → US eBay — in a small, private group. Professional export sellers who are interested can reach us via early access on Sourcing research (preparing).
